The Emergency First Aid at Work course will give participants the knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to assess a situation so that first aid can be administered safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency situation.
Part one: sign up to become a mentor first.
Part two: Join our next training date to become a volunteer peer mentor on our Mysa programme: a 1:1 peer support programme for adults living with disordered eating of any kind. As a peer mentor, you will be trained to deliver sessions of our 8 week CBT-ED programme and gain invaluable hands on experience in mental health support, while doing something incredibly rewarding and life-changing for yourself and others.
During the training, you will cover general eating disorder education and learn the skills you need to be able to support members through our non-clinical digitised programme.
No previous experience is needed as full training and ongoing supervision is provided. Personal lived experience of disordered eating is not a requirement, and where there is lived experience we ask that mentors meet our recovery criteria, which can be viewed on our ‘Become a Mysa Mentor’ form.
If you have any questions around this, please contact Rachel on rachelhewlett@opendoorcharity.com
