November Death Cafe x Happy Bloom - The Symbolism of Flowers in Death
£467PM 9PM
Death Café is a place for people to gather over a drink and cake and have an unstructured discussion about death and dying.
This month, we are celebrating a year of our Death Café by collaborating with Happy Bloom! We are going to be looking into the symbolism of flowers at funerals and how they are used as the language of sympathy when someone dies; a tradition that dates back over 60,000 years, beginning with prehistoric burials.
With Kayleigh, the creative force behind Happy Bloom in Bromborough, we will be creating our own funeral bouquet, understanding the specific meanings behind certain flowers and how to stay sustainable in the funeral world, all whilst continuing our unstructured discussions around death and dying whilst creating something for you to take home.
This workshop will be held at Happy Bloom and will cost £46 to cover the cost of supplies for our bouquets.
